In the final episode of the 2024 Glassmoon SeeMe podcast series, host Carole Edmond sits down with Ranzie Anthony, an award-winning Creative Director with roots in the Caribbean. Ranzie shares his journey from Dominica to the UK, arriving at just two years old as part of the Windrush generation and growing up in East London.

Inspired by his working class parents’ work ethic, his father, a mechanic, and his mother, a caterer — Ranzie developed a strong sense of dedication and resilience early on. Embracing an entrepreneurial spirit at a young age he launched a school newspaper. This sparked a love for design and technology which eventually led him to Kingston University to study Graphic Design.

While at university, Ranzie met fellow student Robert Kenndy with whom he’s since co-founded two successful design agencies. From a basement design start-up to an influential global design group employing over 100 people. In this episode, Ranzie opens up about the challenges and successes of building a design company and striving to make a global impact.

Together, Carole and Ranzie dive into how technology can create positive change. They reflect on their collaboration during lockdown, which gave rise to RUBY and the SeeMe digital platform—a groundbreaking project blending innovation with purpose. Focused on improving mental health, the platform leverages the power of intention-setting to challenge societal biases at the intersection of work and life.

Join this inspiring conversation on the future of work, the role of AI, and how technology can drive meaningful progress.
